Amazing night and into the second day ...

I can not begin to express how amazing God's blessings were last night.  Around 1:00am, we were all awake (Shari, Todd and Sophie).  Sophie kept going back and forth between ma-ma and ba-ba either hugging us, desiring a kiss, or sitting on top of us rubbing our faces or giving us a kiss.  It was so very, very special.  Mommy gave Sophie a bath and I'm not sure if it was a bath, an art lesson, or a swimming session.  Today we had an opportunity to go to the big pool and by the end of the swim time Sophie was blowing air out her nose and putting her head underwater.  She was jumping to both Ellie and Mommy from the side of the pool. She is quite the bright little child ... need to be very aware of manipulation efforts ... we will have to stay on top to that one.

I'm so glad things are going well for you. Joyceee came over last night to have supper with us and to read your blog. I told her I would keep her posted. I will continue prayers for your new family. Love you all.

It is Day Two and as it is our ritual to go to the computer for new pictures and news. We are thanking God for how quickly She O Chin is connecting to you Todd and Shari. The pictures are adorable. Thanking God for the time that you three (Todd, Shari and She O Chin) had together last night. Praying for a good night sleep tonight as it is 6:13pm there in China. Maybe the swimming will wear her out :) Praying specifically for Ellie and Shane today that they will experience an adventure of their lifetime today and that Ellie will have energy and her immune system will be increasingly getting stronger. I am praying that Shane would be able to find one amusing thing today to experience laughter. I miss Shane's smile :) love you guys. Darcie

That is SO sweet! We prayed Sophie would sense peace and security the first night with her new family. What a special treasure you have found.
Happy for you,

I could just picture her going back and forth from Ma Ma to Ba Ba getting and giving kisses. And what a precious gift that must have been to all three of you. We are so happy. Don't worry about the manipulation thing. There is plenty of time to deal with that. Just enjoy the bonding time. It is just wonderful that she wants you to like her... that means she really likes you!!!!! It is obvious from the pictures!!! When I see you all together, I am overwhelmed God's love. He builds our families. There is no doubt she is the one God chose for your family from the foundation of time for such a time as this!!!!! Praise the Lord, oh praise His Holy Name!!!
