Wow! These pictures are great! That is definitely incredible fine motor skills because I can very rarely tie balloons!! LoL! You look like you're all having a fantastic time. It is amazing to me how much Sophie looks like all of you. God is amazing and wonderful! :-)

Oh my goodness! I actually laughed out loud when I read the title of your previous post, "A New Sheriff In Town". Without even reading, I knew what was happening. I haven't experienced this with an older child, but certainly have heard lots of stories...... And the Lord will carry you through, Shari. Praying for you as you finish up the journey.
Love--

It has taken me this long to figure out HOW to post a comment to you. Shari, she is definitely testing you. Be strong, be loving, but be clear with her you are the momma....Give her lots of praise when she does things right. LOTS of PRAISE from you, the mom. She is having fun, but is working hard not to attach...(she doesn't know what it is like to have a mom, she knew the women as "care givers", she may see you only as the disciplinarian. Talk with Shiyan while you are there and get her opinion as well. I believe you will see a change once you get home. It may take a week or two, or maybe only a few days...Try to have some quiet times with just the two of you once you are home (she may resist this, but do it anyway). Hang in there! You are doing fine! She is smart, and she is testing...very typical....
Blessings!

Hey Bentzels -
We are so jealous of your time in Beijing! You lucky ducks (or maybe Peking ducks....)

Sophie is a jewel and it is a treasure to see your and God's dream come true.

I know living out of a hotel room can get old. And adoption trips can have quite the stressors!

Where are you staying in Guangzhou?

Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers!
